De la rencontre entre Sanae El Kamouni, une jeune femme
déterminée à faire reconnaître la valeur des artistes marocains hors
des frontières de leur pays, et Aurélien Bory, chorégraphe français
affirmé, naît le Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger et son premier
spectacle, Taoub.
Cet ouvrage, richement illustré, retrace le chemin parcouru par ce
groupe étonnant, de la plage de Tanger aux planches de Broadway,
au travers des témoignages de ceux qui l’ont aimé, lancé et soutenu.
Il remonte aussi à l’aube de l’acrobatie dans le bassin méditerranéen,
et aux origines de l’acrobatie marocaine : la confrérie soufie de
Sidi Ahmed Ou Moussa.

Taoub, the Tangiers acrobatic group, was the fruit of an encounter
between Sanae El Kamouni, a young woman determined to promote
the value of Moroccan artists beyond their country’s borders,
and Aurélien Bory, a successful French choreographer.
This richly illustrated work retraces the path taken by this
astonishing group, from Tangier's beaches to Broadway stages,
through the accounts of those who loved, launched and
encouraged them.
It goes back to the dawn of acrobatics in the Mediterranean basin
and to the origins of Moroccan acrobatics, i.e. the Sufi brotherhood
of Sidi Ahmed Ou Moussa.
